The first step is to design your animation and it can be anything. I have created one by using pictures of seagulls from a day at the beach. Open Fireworks and create a new document. On the right-hand side pane is a section where you create frames and if you move your cursor over the picture here, you will see what it looks like (it shows template 1, 2, and 3 and then a number 7 by each one which is the frame delay for changing templates).
Place your design on the document, then to add another design you will click on the new/duplicate frame icon which will bring up another template to place it on and then you can do it again and again depending on how many you want to use.
There is also a place to time how fast your images change. Click on the play button to preview your animation and then you can change the seconds your animation plays. The last step is to optimize and export your animation image to the program you are using to create your webpage.
