Maya is from thousands of years ago, one of the ancient civilizations' designing huge buildings like pyramids with huge steps, making most of their structures out of intricate carved stone which is how they made the steps. All of their pyramids had stone steps and was devoted to a specific deity. They typically built pyramids and temples although they have also created observatories and ball courts. Their palaces were highly decorated, with detailed carving done all around and tzompantli, or stakes with the heads of victims or defeated opponents.
