Ancient Roman Architecture is partly based on the style of the Greeks, they relied on hydraulics and the construction of arches in order to make their style of buildings. One of the main things used in Roman Architecture is the dome, they were very fond with arches and the culmination of arches was to have a large dome. Arches were used in colosseums, aqueducts, bridges, and more. They wanted to convey the feeling of power to allies and enemies alike. One of the goals of their building style was to impress while also being functional.

Ancient Roman architecture included vast amounts of columns and overhanging domed roofs.
