Aeneas carrying his father, with his son

When the Greeks attacked Troy, few of the victims were able to escape, including Aeneas.  Aeneas carried his son and father, wandering all over, including to Carthage, where he had an affair with Queen Dido.  He continued his wanderings by leaving Dido without notice to start a new city.  It would be the New Troy, only it was called Lavinium.  He did not particularly found the great city of Rome, but he did connect the power of Troy to the upcoming, vast kingdom of Rome.  His battles, wanderings, and escape from Troy finally led him to this.  The Roman people came from what he has done with his lifetime.
