Monteverde Cloud Forest

Cloud Forests are amazing phenomenoms. Covering only 1% of global woodland, these rare forests occur in tropical and subtropical mountainous environments. They have atmospheric conditions that cause a constant covering of clouds, often taking on the form of fog. Covering 35,089 acres of land, the Monteverde Cloud Forest is a reserve that encompasses 8 life zones atop the Continental Divide. A habitat for many cats, spider monkeys, and other wildlife, the Monteverde Cloud Forest is a wonder of its own.
