Zion National Park is a 229-square-mile park in southwestern Utah . It is located at the junction of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin, and Mojave Desert regions. The park's rich diversity is evident in it's abundant wildlife; acting as a home to 289 species of birds, 75 species of mammals, and 32 species of reptiles as well as innumerable species of plant life. In addition to it's ample diversity of life, Zion National Park also accommodates a vast variety of geographical features such as mountains, canyons, buttes, mesas, monoliths, rivers, slot canyons, and natural arches.
