Skateboarding   Who would have thought that a piece of wood with wheels bolted onto it could change American culture.  Well, the skateboard has done just that. When the skateboard rolled onto sidewalks in the late 1950’s, it quickly gained popularity among the youth of America.  It provided them with an exhilarating sport and a straightforward means of transportation.  Since that time, skateboarding has spread to almost every part of the globe, giving millions of men, women, and children an interesting and thrilling activity.
