Younger generations enjoy games that older generations may not even know exist. In this lesson, you will prepare a business e-mail telling your instructor about the games you enjoy playing.

2009 FBLA Fall Leadership Conference

Florida/National Fall Leadership Conference: November 19 - 21 in Orlando

Seven FBLA members and their families attended the conferences. Those members are Marissa Suchini, Kane Magnuson, Kaitlyn Angiletta, Korina Chilcoat, Robert Klubenspies, Savannah Pinnix, and Khalilah Goodman.

This highly-interactive course enables students to develop knowledge of programming concepts in Python and Java while participating in projects that interest them.

Computer Programming 1 – Module 4: Robot Simulator

Students will be fully-engaged as they learn Python by controlling the motion and sensory capabilities of a robot.

Computer Programming 1—Module 7: Fun Fractals

Students are asked to design their own fractal pattern and have the computer draw it. By combining simple instructions for moving forward and turning, students will produce intriguing fractals. The sample below follows this simple pattern: F-F+F+F-F

Computer Programming 1 – Module 9: Mondrian Art

Students will guide the computer to become the artist in this assignment. By following a short list of rules and a recursive algorithm, amazing art evolves. The art is based on work by Piet Mondrian.

AP Computer Science – Segment 1: Hello World

Students begin the course with the traditional Hello World program that prints messages to the screen. From there students learn variables, expressions, conditional statements, loops, arrays, methods, objects, classes and more.

AP Computer Science – Segment 2: Fibonacci, Prime Numbers, Palindromes

Segment 2 takes students on a journey to explore more advanced topics such as recursive algorithms, inheritance, polymorphism, abstract classes, interfaces, sorting and searching algorism as well as program analysis.

The College Board had designed a case study named GridWorld for AP Computer Science. Students are able to explore advanced concepts within the world of the grid by manipulating various Actors such as Bugs, Rocks, Flowers, and Critters.
